Chile: Arquitectura Post-Terremoto. Pabellones META

El pasado 27 de febrero se cumplió el tercer aniversario del terremoto magnitud 8.8 Richter y posterior tsunami que azotó a la zona centro- sur de Chile.

La oficina chilena Pezo von Ellrichshausen (PvE), basada en Concepción, ha gestionado un interesante proyecto de arquitectura bautizado con el nombre de "META", para dotar de infraestructura cultural de la costa de la VIII Región, la más afectada por el terremoto y tsunami del 27 de Febrero del 2010.

“META”, reúne un conjunto internacional de arquitectos que se unen en un proyecto común para contribuir en la reconstrucción de infraestructura cultural.

Los pabellones han sido desarrollados por Alberto Campo Baeza (España), Adamo-Faiden (Argentina), Johnston Marklee (EE.UU.), Studio Mumbai (India), Pezo von Ellrichshausen (Chile), Sean Godsell (Australia), Paulo David (Portugal), Rintala Eggertsson (Noruega), Sergison Bates (Inglaterra) y Office Kersten Geers & David van Severen (Bélgica).

META Pavilions

On February 27 marked the third anniversary of Richter magnitude 8.8 earthquake and tsunami that struck the central-southern Chile.

The Chilean office Pezo von Ellrichshausen (PvE), based in Concepción, has managed an interesting architectural project named "META" to provide the VIII Region - the most affected zone by the earthquake and tsunami of February 27, 2010-, with cultural infrastructure.

"META", brings together a group of international architects who come together to join a solidary project to help in the reconstruction of that cultural infrastructure.

The pavilions have been developed by Alberto Campo Baeza (Spain), Adamo-Faiden (Argentina), Johnston Marklee (EE.UU.), Studio Mumbai (India), Pezo von Ellrichshausen (Chile), Sean Godsell (Australia), Paulo David (Portugal), Rintala Eggertsson (Norway), Sergison Bates (England) and Office Kersten Geers & David van Severen (Belgium).
