Dentro del Parque Natural del
Cabo de Gata Nijar, Almería, España, se encuentra un pequeño pueblo blanco, Las
Negras, en el que predominan las formas geométricas simples tanto en sus
edificios públicos como en la arquitectura de viviendas unifamiliares destinadas
a segunda vivienda.
Para fotografiar en lugares
tan luminosos como este, basta dar una vuelta al edificio escogido, el Hotel
Cala Grande, obra de Pablo Moreno Mansilla, y mostrar la diferencia de luces de
cada toma.
Esta primera foto de arriba nos muestra la cara no iluminada. No hay
contrastes, y hay que forzar la cámara para que el edificio no salga oscuro,
quedando por tanto el cielo algo quemado.
Continuamos la vuelta al
mismo. De nuevo, para que la fachada no aparezca negra debido al contraluz, se
abre algo más el diafragma de forma manual, pero el cielo y el mar
salen por tanto quemados. Obsevad como aparecen sombras en la entrada principal.
La fuerza expresiva del sol se vuelca en este acceso, pues atraviesa
una serie de vigas cuya sombra arrojada es sorprendentemente cambiante con el
paso de las horas.
Más abajo, una foto del interior de una de las piscinas, donde se
percibe la bella integración del edificio que se encuentra a caballo entre el
mar y la montaña.

Within the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata Nijar, Almería, Spain, is
a small white village, Las Negras, where simple geometric forms prevail in
public buildings as well as in the architecture of houses intended for second
homes.
For shooting in bright places such as this, it is
enough to circle the chosen building, the Hotel Cala Grande, by Pablo Moreno
Mansilla, and to show the lighting difference of each shot.
This first picture above shows the unlit side. There are no
contrasts, and the camera must be forced so that the building does not appear
dark: therefore, the sky will come out slightly burnt.
The second picture belongs to another side of the
building . Again,
to avoid the facade appearing black due to backlighting, the diaphragm must be
opened manually a little bit, but the sky and the sea will come out burnt.
Worth noticing are the shadows that appear at the main entrance.
The expressive strenght of the sun pours into this
access as it goes through a series of beams whose shadows
surprisingly change with the passing hours.
Below, a photo of the inside of one of the pools, where you
perceive the beautiful integration of the building that is located between the
sea and the mountains.
