“Ciudades Tri-Ciprocas: El Tiempo, El Lugar, El Pueblo”

La Bienal de Urbanismo / Arquitectura de Hong Kong y Shenzhen culminó hace poco más de un mes. Con el tema de "Creación de Urbanismo", la Bienal expresó la naturaleza recíproca entre la arquitectura y el urbanismo dentro del contexto de tiempo y lugar.

El término "Ciudades Tri-Ciprocas: El Tiempo, El Lugar, El Pueblo" (creado por los curadores de la bienal) examina la esencia y la calidad de Hong Kong como ciudad de alta densidad y orientada a sus usuarios.

Counter Part Cities

La Bienal mostró alrededor de 50 exposiciones no sólo de Hong Kong o China sino también de otros países asiáticos como Taiwán, Japón, Singapur, e incluso países Europeos.

Exhibicion en Wanchai

La Bienal de Hong Kong estuvo compuesta por cinco pabellones e instalaciones circundantes: el "Pabellón de Exposiciones del Mundo", el "Pabellón de Exposiciones de Taipei", el "Pabellón de Exposiciones de Hong Kong" (intencionalmente situado en el centro demostrando como Hong Kong desempeña un papel importante en la conexión de Asia con el mundo y dando ideas creativas para las industrias de arquitectura y diseño), el "Pabellón para los Retratos Urbanos de Asia" y las exposiciones del "Pabellón de Shenzhen y otras ciudades de China".

El  área principal de exposición empleó la "litera" como módulo para que los expositores trabajen. Esta idea responde a la limitación de espacio al interior del área cubierta pero a la vez estuvo inspirado por los fenómenos de vivienda de alta densidad en Hong Kong.

"Al mostrar diferentes historias de ciudades en diferentes tiempos biológicos alrededor del mundo, esperamos mostrar cómo el paso del tiempo y la vitalidad de los ciudadanos ha influido en el urbanismo y las ciudades. En última instancia, queremos presentar los diferentes aspectos de una ciudad de ensueño, sin importar la edad, al igual que una persona que tiene compasión y la sabiduría de la sofisticación de edad, y el sentido práctico de la mediana edad, y la pureza y la vitalidad de los jóvenes ", dijeron Gene K . King y Anderson Lee, Jefe de Curadores de la Bienal de Hong Kong.

“Tri-Ciprocal Cities: The Time, The Place, The People”

The Hong Kong & Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism / Architecture ended a little over a month ago. With the theme of “Urbanism Creation”, the Biennale exposed the reciprocal nature between architecture and urbanism within the context of time and place.

The term “Tri-ciprocal Cities: The Time, The Place, The People” (created by the biennale curators) examines the essence and quality of Hong Kong as a high density and people-oriented city.

The Biennale displayed around 50 exhibitions not only from Hong Kong or China, but also from other Asian countries like Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and even Europe ones. The Hong Kong Biennale comprised five pavilions and surrounding installations: the “Pavilion for World Exhibits”, the “Pavilion for Taipei Exhibits”, the “Pavilion for Hong Kong Exhibits” (intentionally located in the middle demonstrating that Hong Kong plays a role in connecting the world and giving creative ideas to the architecture and design industries), the “Pavilion for Asian Urban Portraits” and the exhibits of the “Pavilion for Shenzhen and other Mainland Cities Exhibits”.

The main indoor exhibition area employed the “Bunk Bed” as a module for the exhibitors to work with. This idea responded to the limitation of suitable indoor exhibition space and was inspired by the high density housing phenomena in Hong Kong.

“By exhibiting different stories of cities of different biological times around the world, we hope to show how the passage of time and vitality of citizens influence urbanity and cities. Ultimately, we wish to present different aspects of a dream city, regardless of age, like a person who has compassion and wisdom of the old, sophistication and practicality of the middle-aged, and purity and vitality of the young,” said Gene K. King and Anderson Lee, Chief Curators of Hong Kong Biennale.
